Internship Opportunity for Young Roma at the Roma Education Fund (REF)

Internship Opportunity for Young Roma at the Roma Education Fund (REF)

Internship Application Deadline: April 25th, 2019

The mission and ultimate goal of the Roma Education Fund (REF) is to close the gap in educational outcomes between Roma and non-Roma. In order to achieve this goal, REF supports policies and programs which ensure quality education for Roma, including the desegregation of education systems in the countries that were participating in the Decade of Roma Inclusion, and in other interested countries. Preparation of this action is based on long-term implementation of actions aimed at supporting Roma children and youth at all educational levels, with the aim to introduce an integrated approach in the countries where REF already implements activities and to expand the activities to new areas/countries with a significant number of Roma population.

Internship positions are an important component of REF activities as they allow young educated Roma to get acquainted with the organization and the issues related to the education of Roma people in Central, Eastern and South Eastern Europe. Internships also help REF to establish a network of young and dynamic people who, upon completing their internship, will go on to support, in various ways, the objectives and mission of the Fund and Roma inclusion in conventional educational systems.
