During the conference the participants also had the opportunity to watch the documentary film Besence Open / Men with Balls that was screened at the Millennium Film Festival and then engage in a discussion with the documentary’s producers and actors.

Romani students who attended this two-day event did not only learn about opportunities such as those offered by Roma Access Programs and internships at different international organization, but could also exchange experience of advocating for Roma rights in their countries.

Russian and Ukrainian Romani students also participated in a training on project design and implementation in order to introduce them to the elaboration and implementation of small-scale community development projects for Roma in their localities.

REF’s Law and Humanities Program conference takes place every year for LHP beneficiaries from Moldova, Russia and Ukraine.
