September 15th marked the beginning of the new school year in Bulgaria and the end of school segregation for approximately 200 Roma students in Blagoevgrad. Students, who were attending sub-standard Elementary School No. 1 in Blagoevgrad, are moving to several city schools where they will get a better education and learn in an integrated environment with their peers from other ethnic groups for the first time.
