Basic Computer Skills for Romani adults in Prague

Romea Civic Association is organizing training in basic computer skills for Roma adults in Prague as of September 2007.

The Romea Educational Centre also offers free of charge internet and computer access for the interested Roma population. According to the project manager, Mr. Popisil, there are over 200 Roma people who regularly come to the centre on a weekly basis.

Due to the free internet access just over the last month , five of the 20 registered clients have found jobs on the Roma Internet labour exchange, mostly in social services and in technical and construction fields.
