[OPEN CALL] REF is seeking partner organizations for the implementation of projects for Early Childhood, Primary, and Secondary Education

Call for Proposals

***Correction***: Applicants should note that this call for proposals applies only for REF’s models 1-3 (Early Childhood Education and Care, Primary Education and Secondary Education), and excludes the ones for Tertiary Education (Romaversitas) and Adult Education: Second Chance Programs for Adults.

The Roma Education Fund’s (REF) mission and goal is to contribute to closing the gap in educational outcomes between Roma and non-Roma. In order to achieve this goal, the organization supports policies and programs which ensure quality education for Roma through scholarships, grant making and advocacy activities.

The objectives of REF include:

–       Expanding Roma children’s access to quality early childhood education and care;

–       Improving primary education outcomes for Roma children aged six to fourteen;

–       Boosting academic performance and graduation rates from secondary education for   Roma pupils;

–       Supporting access to tertiary education, improving graduation levels and strengthening identity of
Roma university students, and

–       Expanding employment opportunities for young Roma adults.

 

The Roma Education Fund provides two types of grants:

1.  Solicited grants to REF’s strategic partners (Ministries, Central European University, RomaVersitas programs and REF’s Toy Library Network) which serve to achieve mid-term goals of REF’s strategy, institutionalization and policy ownership of REF branded models of intervention.

2.    Unsolicited (competitive) grants aimed towards innovations, piloting and essential interventions in education.

This Call for Proposals is for unsolicited project proposals only and interested applicants can apply for:

 

–       Small grant proposals – Grant proposals aligned with REF’s Strategic Framework (2020-2030) and within the frame of REF’s models, with a maximum REF’s funding request of 20,000 EUR.

–       Standard grant proposals – Grant proposals aligned with REF’s Strategic Framework (2020-2030) and within the frame of REF’s models, with a maximum REF’s funding request of 80,000 EUR.

 

The objective of the call is to select the partner organizations for the implementation of projects that would be in line with REF’s strategic framework and contribute to closing the gap, follow REF’s model of interventions and include innovative approach.
