The REF participated in one of Serbia`s numerous Roma issue related workshop organized by the European Commision Delegations jointly with the governments of countries of the Western Balkan and Turkey.
The event covered key issues related to improving the status of the Roma in the Republic of Serbia and its actions plans, as well as budgets of competent institutions in the country. The topics of the discusions were priorities and challenges for advancing the social inclusion of Roma, as well as the opportunities for sharing in the costs of the implementation of the relevant activities. REF highly contributed in the framework of Roma education related discusions. REF grantee, Vojvodina Secretariat for Education, presented outcomes offering mentorship support for Roma secondary school students in Vojvodina
The Social Inclusion seminar on Roma issues in Serbia was highly attended.
