Western Balkans and Turkey Roma Education Project’s policy event in Skopje, North Macedonia

Government should establish clear mechanisms to engage Roma expertise and invite Roma into policy debates and planning and implementing policies on local, regional and national level. This is one of the key messages, deriving from the policy forum named “CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR ROMA CHILDREN AND YOUTH IN NORTH MACEDONIA” which took place on 12 April 2019 in the City Hall Skopje, Skopje, North Macedonia.

Another key recommendation coming out from the event is to keep projects accountable and results-oriented, with tangible goals, specific targets, adequate resources, clear responsibilities, accurate indicators, monitoring systems and balanced relations between costs and benefits. More here.
