The initiative sets targets which aim to make real progress towards Roma equality and inclusion by 2030.

On 6 October DG JUST promoted a policy document, EU Roma strategic framework for equality, inclusion and participation, setting out a three-pillar approach for the next 10 years:

(1) inclusion of marginalized Roma

(2) equality (whereby fight against discrimination)

(3) antigypsyism and participation (whereby all Roma have fair chances to achieve their full potential and participate in political, social, economic and cultural life).
