Background
The Roma Education Fund (REF) is an international foundation established in 2005 and dedicated to closing the gap in educational outcomes between Roma and non-Roma. With an active and growing network of representative offices across Central, Eastern, South-Eastern Europe, and Turkey, REF provides grants and scholarships to entities and individuals who share its belief in quality, inclusive education, and desegregated schools and classrooms.
Objective
The aim is to design and develop a new website for the project “Employment Empowerment of Young Roma – Phase 2”, based on the existing platform – https://romi-obrazovanjem-do-posla.org.rs/ref-srbija/. The website needs to be highly functional, optimised for desktop, tablet and for mobile phones users, with a strong virus and system protection. The new website should support photo and video applications and convenient for user/editing. The visual presentation should follow REF Visibility guidelines. The main goal is to ensure accessibility and greater transparency about the project and activities implemented in Serbia.
Duties and responsibilities
The consultant/company under direct supervision of the Communication Officer and Program Manager is expected to undertake the following tasks:
- Develop visual solution and web design (it is desirable to submit a proposal for the layout of the home page and one internal page of your choice in JPG or PNG format)
- Develop CMS and functional solutions
- Design responsive web design
- Legal WordPress theme
- Arrange and design social media integration (share buttons, follow buttons, etc.)
- Organize migration of all existing content from the old to the new project website
- Provide data analytics
- Onsite SEO settings
- Organize trainings for the staff on the use of CMS
- Three months maintenance
- Maintain regular communication with REF while preforming all tasks.
Deliverables
The consultant/company is expected to deliver functional and fine-tuned project website with available information about the project, activities implemented and as well as successful stories which will be integrated interactive.
Required Experience
- At least three years’ experience with web design and programing
- Proven experience of web interactive application and web system protection
- Proven experience in working with IT companies
