BACKGROUND
The Roma Education Fund’s (REF) mission and the ultimate goal is to close the gap in educational outcomes between Roma and non-Roma. In order to achieve this goal, the organization supports policies and programs which ensure quality education for Roma through scholarships, grant making and advocacy activities.
The objectives of REF include:
- Expanding Romani children’s access to quality early childhood education and care
- Improving primary education outcomes for Romani children aged six to fourteen
- Boosting academic performance and graduation rates from secondary education for Romani pupils
- Supporting access to tertiary education, improving graduation levels and strengthening identity of Romani university students
- Expanding employment opportunities for young Romani adults
The Roma Education Fund operates its activities in close links with civil society and institutional partners in 16 countries of Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe.
INVITATION FOR OFFER
We would like to invite an individual or a company to submit a quote to Roma Education Fund for the production of the 2019 Annual Report to:
- create its templates
- design its chapters, figures, tables
- process its photos
- typeset its text (8 proofs – very intensive)
- output to PDF as needed for web and print
The 2019 Annual Report comprises two publications:
Full scope annual report (web version)
Size: A4
Four-color
Double-sided spreads
Length: up to 90 pages
Summary report (Highlights) (Print and web versions)
Size: A4
Four-color
Double-sided spreads
Length: 16 pages
Main tasks for each publication:
Design and Production
- Prepare a preliminary design as agreed to and approved by REF
- Prepare and design tables and figures provided by REF in excel format
- Prepare and design content pages which include infographics, embedded slideshow (web version), processed photos, embedded links, videos and other digital media in line with the design
- Produce an interactive table of contents
- Make corrections in English as required for final web and PDF version
Guidelines for the design will be according to REF’s Visibility Guidebook and further design instructions from REF Communications.
Timeline for the full report:
March 6, 2020: one chapter snapshot of the AR2019 full version for the REF’s Board
March 27, 2020: first PDF to be sent via email to REF’s donors
May 8, 2020: final proofread draft submitted to the Company
May 13, 2020: final PDF for web/public
Timeline for the summary report:
June 8, 2020: final proofread draft submitted to the Company
June 15, 2020: final PDF for web/public
June 15, 2020: deliver to printer a print-ready file
June 22, 2020: ready printed version in 300 copies
Printing
For printing, glossy finish, inner pages at 90 gram paper, outer pages at 250 or above.
We would appreciate a quote on printing of 300 copies of the summary report. Please send the price offer for printing separately from the offer for designing of the reports.
